Wabash City Schools Board of Education announces Amy Sivley as the district’s next superintendent. Sivley has 27 years of public education experience and will assume her superintendent responsibilities July 1.
Sivley has been principal at Lakeview Middle School for Warsaw Community Schools since July 2015. She has also been an assistant middle school principal – athletic director, Gateway Education Center principal, chief accountability officer and director of human resources for WCS. She began her career in education as a business teacher at Bluffton High School and was a middle school principal for Fort Wayne Community Schools.
The school board press release notes Sivley’s proven track record of leadership focused on instruction.
“She has excellent communication skills and the innate ability to collaborate with and develop those around her. These qualities make her especially qualified to lead the Wabash City Schools mission of providing a relevant and rigorous education, founded upon relationships, to ensure each student is college- and career ready for success in a global community,” the press release states.
Wabash City School’s board of education members are Rod Kelsheimer, Bill Konyha, Ronda Hipskind, Stephen DaFoe and Jason Fry.
