Is the discovery of “Super Lice” really as big of a problem as we've been led to believe? The answer is no, according to Bryan Price, Epidemiologist for the Indiana State Department of Health. He says it's no different than putting the word super in front of anything else. It makes everyone think it's a bigger deal than what it really is. Price admits that no one likes the idea of having lice, let alone lice that are immune to over the counter medications, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time to panic. Price says if you find lice on yourself or your children, you should start off using normal treatments… if that doesn't work, call your doctor.
