The YMCA is remembering 9/11 in two separate ways this week.
From Sept. 7 to 14, Remembering Fallen Heroes Week, the YMCA will be letting military and first responders use both YMCA locations – in Warsaw and North Webster – for free.
Then on Saturday, Sept. 11, the YMCA will have local fire departments do a stair climb at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and to raise money for the Indiana Burn Center. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the surrounding fire departments will use the climb mills to climb 110 flights of stairs – the same number of stairs first responders went up at the World Trade Center.
During this event, donations will be collected for the Indiana Burn Center.
