Ella M. Starr, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday October 12, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital at 9:00pm at the age of 63.
Born in Columbus, Ohio on January 7, 1958, she was the daughter of Howard Gaylor and Ella Faye Sexton. She married her lifelong friend and love of her life Greenway (John) Starr on October 1, 1982. Ella spent many years caring for others as a CNA before becoming ill herself. She spent the latter part of her years caring for and raising her children.
Ella was a loving woman with a heart of gold but had just a touch of orneriness. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and helped people as much as she could. She enjoyed playing practical jokes on people, having fun, and loved to get the last laugh. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family. Her love for her husband, kids, and especially grandkids shined brightly.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband/family to her favorite location in Tennessee in the fall. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, puzzles, and games.
Ella was a strong woman who was full of love and resilience. She will be greatly missed by her husband Greenway (John), children, Tonja (Randy) Busch, Kevin Zickefoose, and Heather Starr; grandchildren, Alexis Bumbaugh, Brittany Busch, Brant Zickefoose, Dakotah Easterday, and Cameron Zickefoose; and brother, Dwayne Chaffin. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debra Starr; and two grandchildren, Dylan and Clayton Busch.
