The city of Warsaw-Oakwood Cemetery is requesting that all winter decorations that have been placed in or on the ground (grave blankets) at grave sites be removed before March 1 according to Board of Regents Cemetery Rules.
Any remaining ground decorations after March 1 will be removed and discarded by cemetery staff.
All decorations for spring, summer and fall must be placed on the monument’s foundation or on top of monument. Decorations placed in or on the ground will be removed. For the benefit of safety, glass vases or decorations are not permitted. To obtain a copy of the rules and regulations, visit the cemetery office.
The staff of Oakwood Cemetery thanks the friends and family members of deceased loved ones for abiding by the cemetery rules, allowing the staff to efficiently and properly maintain the cemetery as a place for visitors to honor their loved ones.
