Geraldine Cox, 93, of Warsaw, died Monday May 2, 2022 at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake. She was born in Silver Lake on October 21, 1928, the daughter of (the late) Grover and Mary (Brown) Richardson.
She graduated from Silver Lake High School with the Class of ’46 and on March 28, 1948, she married John Elmer Cox who preceded her in death on April 16, 2016 after 68 years of marriage. Geraldine was a homemaker who enjoyed crochet and was devoted to her family, especially cherishing the time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Geraldine was also preceded in death by two brothers, Berchel Richardson and Ernest Richardson, and a sister, Earlene Engle. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Walker) Meredith of Leesburg and Sharon (Frank) Jones of San Antonio TX; grandchildren, Denise (Kevin) Breen in Pennsylvania, Melinda (Troy) Aranda and Nicole (Gabriel) Gonzalez, both of San Antonio TX, Jonathan (Nicolette) Meredith of Warsaw and Carley (Tyler) Wetzel of Milford; her great-grandchildren, Ireland, Khloe, Christopher, Amelia, Paul and Rayla; brother, Elby Richardson of Evansville and sister, Rosemary Roberts.
