Warsaw, Ind. – The benefits that helped thousands of SNAP families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic will be expiring in May 2022.
Starting June 2022, the benefit amount will be based upon eligibility factors before the pandemic (e.g., household size, income, and allowable deductions).
In.gov states, “Due to the end of the state public health emergency on March 3, 2022, and a recent change in Indiana law, the last month that Hoosiers will receive emergency enhanced SNAP benefits is May 2022.”
