Thousands of residents in Kosciusko County went without power for several hours yesterday. Some, are still without power this morning. Last night, over 3,000 nipsco customers in Kosciusko County were without power, but as of today that number is down in the low hundreds. Police urged citizens to stay inside or drive carefully as they were out yesterday. Icy road conditions along with freezing rain made conditions extremely dangerous. There were many slide-offs, along with several crashes, including a rollover yesterday. Conditions today are expected to be better, but we could still see a mix of rain and snow at times.
