WARSAW — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash that happened on SR 13 north of East Shoop Road around 10 p.m. Thursday.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says the Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a wooden platform sitting off the side of the road.
The motorcycle continued south flipping multiple times before
coming to rest.
The driver was thrown from the motorcycle.
Edward Dempsey, 55, of Pierceton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Lutheran
EMS, Pierceton Fire, Pierceton Police Department, North Webster Police
Department, Indiana State Police, Crouse Wrecker Service, and Kosciusko County
Coroner’s Office.
