A Warsaw man was injured during a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of CRs 17 and 20 in Elkhart County Wednesday.
According to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash release, at approximately 5:55 a.m., a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Oliver Alcides, 38, Warsaw, was driving south on CR 17 at the four-way intersection of CR 17 and CR 20.
A 2017 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Jennifer A. Hicks, 43, Bristol, was driving north on CR 17 through the four-way intersection of CRs 17 and 20.
A 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Crystal Lehman, 41, Goshen, was on CR 20 facing west at the east side of the four-way intersection.
Alcides allegedly failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and turned east (left) in front of Hicks, causing the collision. Alcides’ vehicle then slid into the front of Lehman’s vehicle.
Alcides was transported to Goshen General Hospital for complaint of abdominal pain. Hicks and Lehman were not injured.
Alcides was cited for failing to yield the right of way and driving without a license.
