An accident just north of Syracuse Friday sent a Fort Wayne woman to an area hospital. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says 68-year old Dorothy Young was taken to IU Health-Goshen with neck and side pain. Investigators say Young was eastbound on US 6 around 1:40pm Friday when she allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at SR 13 and pulled into the path of a Jeep driven by 66-year old Sandra Brazel of Kimmel. Brazel was not injured.
