A Warsaw woman was arrested Friday for assaulting her neighbor over a WiFi issue.
On Jan. 30, Warsaw police responded to a residential entry report on Sophie Lane. The victim told police that her downstairs neighbor, Welcome Lloyd, was pounding on her wall.
When the victim went to see what was wrong, Lloyd allegedly entered the home and punched the victim in the throat and chest. According to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County prosecutors, witnesses of the incident confirmed what the victim had said.
Police questioned Lloyd, 30, of 513 Sophie Lane, Warsaw. She advised that she had been texting the victim, who was upset that Lloyd had changed her WiFi password.
Lloyd faces a level six felony residential entry charge and a battery charge and was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $5,250 bond.
