Local rivers are rising in northern Indiana and those living along them are being warned to act accordingly.
A Flood Warning is extended for the Tippecanoe River affecting Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, Kosciusko and Fulton Counties. Recent snow melt and rain have led to rises on area rivers to above flood stage.
The National Weather Service says the Tippecanoe River will only rise a few inches over the flood stage of 12 feet sometime Wednesday and only minor flooding is projected. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday morning and continue falling to 11.2 feet Saturday morning.
