It’s another rough day for getting around Northern Indiana. Heavy, wet snow mixed with freezing rain and sleet has made for slow-going on Hoosier Highways overnight and again today. Crews have been out clearing snow overnight, but make sure you leave extra time in your travel plans, don’t drive too fast and make sure you have a blanket, bottled water and basic supplies with you just in case. Nine counties in North Central Indiana are under “travel watch” status, which means only travel in emergencies and to-and-from work is recommended. Kosciusko, Elkhart, Wabash, St. Joe, Marshall and Fulton are all on that list. We have a link to the Homeland Security County Travel Status map at http://www.in.gov/dhs/traveladvisory/
