Nappanee bicyclist, 52, killed on SR 19

NAPPANEE — A bicyclist on SR 19 was struck and killed by a motorist Thursday night.

A news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office said the accident south of Napanee happened around 7:54 p.m. when the northbound bike was struck from behind.

The collision happened in the 11,000-block of SR 19 in Jefferson Township, in the
northwest part of Kosciusko County.

The bicyclist, Aaron E. Miller, 52, Nappanee, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Kosciusko County Coroner, Tyler Huffer.

The driver of the Chevy Blazer, Jonathon W. Davis, 25, Warsaw, was not injured in
the crash.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Nappanee
Fire and EMS, Reichert & Knepp Wrecker Service, and the Kosciusko County
Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the county FACT Team.
