WARSAW — A Warsaw man died in an ATV crash that ended in a pond Friday afternoon.
The accident at 1345 S. Ferguson Road happened at about 3:10 p.m., according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the ATV, Thomas J. Bussell, 73, Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer.
Emergency responders found a Suzuki 4-wheeler and Bussell partially submerged in the pond.
Investigators believe Bussell was driving around the pond and — for an unknown reason — drove off the grass and into the pond.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, and Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
