INDIANAPOLIS — The smog and haze that were apparent in the skies across parts of the Great Lakes region on Tuesday will remain a problem for some on Wednesday.
In fact, the smog alert website used by IDEM expanded its warning to the entire state Tuesday night for Wednesday.
Hazy conditions are from the wildfires in Canada and returned after air directions shifted across the central part of the United States.
On Tuesday, numerous media outlets suggested Chicago had achieved the worst air quality in the world due to smoke from the wildfires.
People with certain sensitive health conditions are encouraged to stay indoors while air quality remains in the red.
