Anchorage Road will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday between the railroad track and U.S. 30.
City officials say the closure is to allow for sewer work in the area that was started before the holidays to be completed.
Local traffic will be allowed to access businesses and homes along that stretch of road, but motorists are asked to drive slowly and carefully when doing so.
Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes and additional time.
