INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Academy for Math, Science and Humanities on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie is the third best high school in the country.
It’s also the number one high school in Indiana, says a new study from Niche.com. The website, which says it helps parents determine which schools are best for their kids, studies 18,000 schools across the country.
They ranked Carmel High School as number two in the state. Warsaw Community High School ranked 46th.
Locally, Best School District rankings were Warsaw Community Schools at 33rd, Argos Community Schools ranked 38th, and Whitley County Consolidated Schools is at 88th, but Wawasee Community Schools, Whitko and Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation did not make the “top 100” list.
Warsaw Community Schools also ranked 99th out of 275 school districts surveyed for Best Teachers in Indiana and ranked 41st of 262 districts for Most Diverse School Districts.
Niche.com’s ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors are calculated by state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more.
