Community members and state officials are at odds over how to fix a dangerous Marshall County intersection.
Dozens of people attended a public hearing Tuesday night, and they all had the same message: they don’t agree with the state’s plans.
The state proposed a J-turn intersection at U.S. 31 and State Road 10 just outside of Argos, but many people living nearby say it’s not a good idea.
WNDU reports not one person who attended the public hearing expressed support for the J-turn project.
Still, INDOT officials say deaths could go down by 50 percent and injury crashes by 80 percent if they install the J-turn.
