WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue University issued an alert early Monday morning reporting an armed robbery near a residence hall on the West Lafayette campus.
According to the university, the robbery happened around 4 a.m. Monday on the south side of Hawkins Hall. It asked anyone with more information about the robbery to contact the university police. No other information was immediately provided. People were requested to avoid the area.
Hawkins Hall is located close to the Purdue Memorial Union, in the middle of campus.
