An recent investigation by the Indiana State Police has resulted in the arrest of the former assistant director of the Howard County Convention and Visitor's Bureau. 48 year old Kimberly Morgan of Kokomo surrendered to correctional officers at the county jail, where she was served an arrest warrant alleging seven felony counts for theft. She has posted bond. An internal audit revealed possible misuse of CVB funds and that from January of 2012 until January of 2014, Morgan had allegedly completed numerous unauthorized transactions utilizing a CVB credit card. The transaction totaled over $18,000 and Morgan purportedly deposited funds into her personal bank account, for personal use. Morgan worked at the CVB for approximately 10 years and was released in January of 2014.
