An Atwood house fire is under investigation after thirty firefighters were on the scene to put it out.
Captain Randall Byrer tells the Times Union they arrived at the 7100 block of West C.R. 200N around 5 p.m. Tuesday and were there till nearly 8 p.m.
Byrer says the fire is believed to be accidental and started in a bedroom. It did approximately $75,000 to $100,000 in damage.
A cat and a dog escaped the home and there were no injuries to civilians or fire crews. The American Red Cross has been called on to assist the family that lived there.
