German auto parts manufacturer ElringKlinger is expanding to Fort Wayne.
ElringKlinger will create 120 jobs along with a $23 million expansion in exchange for tax incentives, according to the Journal Gazette.
$20.6 million will go toward manufacturing, logistics, and IT equipment. The remaining $2.5 million will be to finish a building at 2677 Persistence Drive that WC Holdings II LLC will lease to ElringKlinger.
ElringKlinger’s 120 new jobs will have average annual salaries north of $43,000, with payroll just under $5.2 million.
The city of Fort Wayne will give tax abatements of $422,000 to the holding company, and $1.48 million to ElringKlinger over a 10-year period.
Plans for the project will be introduced at Tuesday night’s city council meeting, with a vote on the project coming at a later date.
If approved, construction at the building would begin in March and be finished by July.
ElringKlinger is an auto parts manufacturer, making cylinder and head gaskets, components for lithium ion batteries, and fuel cell products.
