WARSAW — Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County had two doses of good news in the past week

Zimmer Biomet employees chose the Animal Welfare League as one of their donation options during a recent fundraiser event that took place at several Zimmer Biomet locations around Warsaw.

A check presentation and puppy fest were held in front of the Zimmer Biomet building on Main Street following the fundraiser.

AWL received a total donation of $4,200 from Zimmer Biomet employees, which includes a matching donation from the Zimmer Biomet Foundation.

In related news, AWL reported 85 cats and kittens and 58 dogs and puppies  were adopted during the first two weeks off a emergency adoption program in October.

The special adoption effort was announced to offset an influx of animal intakes.
