KOKOMO — A newborn was turned over to authorities Monday in Kokomo, using the Safe Haven Baby Box,
The two-day-old baby girl was dropped off at a fire station, marking the fifth time a baby has been turned over in Indiana this year using the program.
The mother left a note sharing the love and hopes she had for her daughter, the fire department explained.
The safe haven baby box was installed at the fire station three years ago.
