The Better Business Bureau of Northern Indiana is warning residents of two telephone scams circulating the area. Consumers have reportedly received phone calls from individuals claiming they represent Microsoft and have discovered issues with your computer that causes it to stop receiving updates. The caller offers to repair the problem for you so you can continue getting the updates. The scammers do not represent Microsoft. A second scam involves phone calls from a company giving out loans. In all of the calls, an up-front deposit was required in order to secure the loan from the bank. The Better Business Bureau and the Indiana State Police remind you to only give money to people you know or that are trustworthy.
