Area residents are being warned about a man impersonating a police officer. The warning stems from an incident that happened Monday morning around 7 o'clock in the area of County Road 6. The person who reported the incident described the impersonator as white, with blond hair, a goatee and mustache, wearing khaki pants and a black shirt. They said the suspect was not wearing a police uniform and did not have a police radio or flashlight. The suspect was driving a black SUV with red and blue lights. Police are also advising that if you are stopped and feel uncomfortable, to call the police department to verify it is a bona-fide officer who has you stopped.
