Indiana conservation officers are investigating after a body was found in Witmer Lake Sunday.
The Journal Gazette reports that Johnson Township firefighters recovered a man’s body about 30 yards from an overturned canoe in the southeast corner of the lake.
Witnesses told the Department of Natural Resources that the man was earlier seen fishing at the lake.
He has not yet been identified.
