Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety Friday approved an agreement for the Eisenhower basin design and a downstream drainage report.
The $112,100 agreement is between the city and Christopher B. Burke Engineering.
Brian Davison, Warsaw Wastewater Utility department manager, said as a continuation of south side drainage improvements, the stormwater utility was requesting to enter into a contract with Christopher B. Burke Engineering to investigate infiltration and storage feasibility in the Eisenhower, Pheasant Ridge and Tigers Retreat area as well as the downstream basin.
“This will look at drainage areas and how the water is getting there, and based on that study do engineering recommendations and basin improvements and infiltration designs to get water to infiltrate into the ground,” Davison said.
There will be blueprints at the end of the report for the projects to be taken to bid with plans to improve flooding issues.
The project will be bid and constructed in 2016.

This process will last for approximately two weeks, and the areas involved will be between North Detroit Street and Union Street going east and west and from the area of Fort Wayne Street to Jefferson Street going north and south.
These areas will be blocked off for a short period of time during this process.
