A Bremen woman was arrested Sunday for possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, stemming from a March 22 incident.
Margaret A. Williams, 35, of 17550 Shively Road, Bremen, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Sunday. She is being held on $5,250 bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, on March 22 officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a female flagging down a vehicle and acting suspiciously.
Officers arrived and located the female, identified as Williams. She told police she was feeling suicidal and took an unknown amount of pills. Medics were called, and while treating Williams found a plastic bag that contained pieces of wet cotton under Williams’ shirt.
KCSD officer Michael Fowler spoke with Williams who told him the plastic bag containing the wet cotton was methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance.
Fowler then discovered there was an active warrant for Williams for unlawful sale of a precursor and maintaining a common nuisance in Kosciusko County. Williams was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
