Police in Bridgman are investigating a crash in which a person was stuck and killed by a train. It happened Saturday night around 10:00 pm in the 4200 block of Lake Street. Officers say the victim was found a short distance from the road after being struck. Witnesses say the victim was hit while attempting to run across the railroad tracks while the gates were down & warning lights activated. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Sunday at 10:00 am, the victim's name had not been released pending notification of relatives.
