Kosciusko County highway workers are going to need to continue work on Bruner Road near Palestine Lake. They already worked through the night Friday to repair damage after heavy storms affected the area.
The Times Union reports Bruner Road washed out Friday afternoon, leaving no way in or out for the people who live along the road. A Kosciusko County Highway Department spokesman says the area received 6 inches of rain in just two hours.
Though highway crews got the road in passable condition by 4 a.m. Saturday, its a temporary fix. They expect to have the road back to its pre-storm condition within the next three weeks.
