A second bullet has been found in a LaPorte High School in as many days. The .22 caliber bullet was found in the in the girls locker room at South Central. The bullet was turned over to a staff member and the school was placed on immediate lockdown. Members of the Sheriff’s Office responded to the school and stood by as staff members of the school conducted a search of every student locker. The gym lockers were also searched, but nothing suspicious turned up nor was any other ammunition or weapons located. The LaPorte County Sheriff is frustrated as the second discovery not only disrupts school operations, but it affects sheriff's department resources. The sheriff warns that anyone found to be responsible will be prosecuted. The schools have also vowed to take swift action, as well.
