When it comes to the number of companies moving to Indiana, or expanding in the Hoosier State, it's a record-breaking year so far. At the midway point in the year, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation has announced it has worked with nearly 175 companies that have made decisions to expand or establish new operations in Indiana for a total of more than 17,040 projected new jobs. This compares to 150 decisions by companies to locate a projected 11,715 new jobs in the state at this time last year. At the same time, the anount of conditional tax incentives offered to companies adding jobs is down.
