Two people are recovering from injuries after a cable on a ride at Cedar Point suddenly snapped. A park spokesman says it happened on the Skyhawk ride, Saturday night. The ride swings riders up to 125 feet in the air at about 60 miles per hour. One guest went to a hospital for evaluation, while the other was treated at the scene. The ride will remain closed until an investigation into the cause of the accident is completed.
