Warsaw City Council members and other city leaders honored Warsaw City Councilman Charlie Smith during last night's meeting. Each council member spoke briefly about Smith, who served on the council for 16 years. City Attorney, Mike Valentine spoke optimistically about Charlie saying, ” wow, what a great ride I had with Charlie. He's, gone, but I'm going to remember.” Two white roses were placed in front of Smith's empty chair. There is no word, just yet, on when the council will begin the process of filling his seat.
Meantime, more funeral plans have been made for the victims. Visitation for Scott Bibler takes place on Saturday, 2 until 8, at Tippecanoe Valley High School. His funeral is at 2 o'clock on Sunday at the school. Charlie and Scott Smith's visitation is on Monday, 2 until 8 at Warsaw Community Church. Their joint funeral service is Tuesday at 10 o'clock, also at the church.
