A local Mennonite church has broken ties with national organization over its stance on same-sex marriage. Clinton Frame Mennonite Church congregants recently voted to end its membership with the Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference. These as church members disagree with the conference's stance that says marriage can only be between a man and a woman. The Elkhart Truth reports that locally, the Mennonite community has become more accepting of same-sex marriages with many local churches affirming their support. Officials with the church sayi the decision to split came with great “grief”.
