Clara Berniece “Bea” Carmichael, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor-Warsaw at the age of 98, just shy of her 99th birthday.
Born to Adam and Weda Weintraut in Waldron, Indiana on October 31, 1922, Bea was one of five children. She married Meredith Carmichael the love of her life in Sulfur Springs on October 24, 1942 and together raised their two sons. During WWII, she worked in military manufacturing.
Arts and crafts were a passion for Bea. She especially loved to crochet. Card games were also a favorite of hers, spending time playing Euchre with friends and family. Bea and Meredith enjoyed travelling together, experiencing different states throughout the country.
Those who will miss her deeply include her two sons, Ron and Jeff Carmichael; grandchildren, Kimberlee Schmahl, Christie Eash, and Tia Carmichael; great grandchildren, Seth Eash, Chloe Eash, Greta and Maria Schmahl, and Rosa Schmahl; and a brother, Dale Weintraut. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, George and Floyd Weintraut; and sister, Virginia Selke.
