Clemens Appointed To Board Of Public Works & Safety

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer announced former City Councilman George Clemens will join Thallemer and current District 1 City Councilman Jeff Grose on the Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety.
Clemens will complete the term left vacant by the loss of long-time member Charlie Smith.
Thallemer also announced the reappointment of Clemens and Grose to the board for 2016. Board of Works appointments are for a period of one year.
Clemens is no stranger to local government leadership. He served as District 3 Warsaw city councilman from 2000 to 2011. He was a long-term member of the Traffic Safety Commission, serving from 2004 to 2011. He also served on the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Board from 2009 to 2011 and the Plan Commission in 2011. Currently, he is serving his third year as a member of the Warsaw Redevelopment Commission.
In addition, he has served on the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce Board,  Kosciusko Community Hospital Healthnet, the Northern Indiana Regional Workforce Board and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation.
Professionally, Clemens is the chairman and co-owner of Rabb/Kinetico Water Systems Inc., which is headquartered in Warsaw. Over the past 50-plus years, the business has grown to six locations in Northern Indiana.
“George offers the skills of a successful small business career combined with extensive municipal experience that make him a logical choice to step into the Board of Works. I look forward to working with him and have no doubt that he will serve our community well,” said Thallemer.
