News Release
WINONA LAKE — Motorists who use CR 250E and Pierceton Road near Grace College, be aware:
CR 250E will be closed from Wooster Road to US 30, beginning Monday morning as Indiana American Water works to install a booster water main.
The installation extends from the north side of US 30, under the highway, down CR 250E, under the railroad tracks and continues to Wooster Road, according to the town of Winona Lake’s website.
During that closing, Kosciusko REMC will be doing some utility work between U.S. 30 and Wooster Road.
The Wooster Road intersection will remain open, but drivers will not be able to head north at the intersection.
Also, on Monday, KREMC will do some utility work at the curve on Pierceton Road between Grace College Miller Field and Packerton Road.
This work is expected to take two days, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Pierceton Road will only be closed off to traffic from Miller Field entrance to Packerton Road and because the only way around is Wooster Road, drivers will have to detour at Kings Highway and Wooster Road.
Detour for southbound CR 250E will be eastbound to CR 325E on U.S. 30, south on 325E to Wooster Road, and back west to CR 250E. Detour for northbound CR 250E would be the opposite way or you can go westbound on Wooster Road back through town.
After Monday and Tuesday, the town anticipates that Pierceton Road will be closed to replace a culvert that is collapsing in the same area.
Pierceton Road will only be closed off to traffic from Miller Field entrance to Packerton Road and because the only way around is Wooster Road, drivers will have to detour at Kings Highway and Wooster Road.
