A fiery crash between two semi tractor trailers closed down both directions of US 30 in Columbia City this morning.
According to the Indiana State Police, the crash happened on US 30 at Lincolnway, near Paige’s Crossing, shortly before 9:20am, when one semi rear-ended a car carrier, traveling up the carrier’s ramp and landing on the other semi’s cab. One driver was trapped in his truck, and had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment after both vehicles burst into flames.
