The annual Christmas Spectacular concert at Concord High School will leave out Bible readings and will include histories of Hanukkah and Kwanza in its 2015 show, according to our news partners The Elkhart Truth.
The show will also include the live Nativity scene that is featured every year.
The announcement comes after Concord Community Schools was sued by the Freedom from Religion Foundation and American Civil Liberties Union over the Bible reading and Nativity scene included in the show. The lawsuit claims that the performance is a government endorsement of religion that violates the U.S. Constitution.
The lawsuit is ongoing.
