Officials at Concord High School found a message written on a bathroom stall that contained a bomb threat.
Students were immediately evacuated to the bleachers of Jake Field. Deputies and K-9 officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department then searched the building, along with the surrounding area, according to the Elkhart Truth.
Here is the message the school sent to parents:
“At approximately 8:30 am, a high school administrator discovered a bomb threat message written in a bathroom stall of the high school. School officials and law enforcement authorities were immediately notified and students were evacuated to the football stadium. Safety protocols are currently being followed which includes sweeps of the building and personal belongings. At no time have the students in danger during this situation. Once we have been assured that the building is safe and secure, students and staff will reenter the building to resume their school day.”
The lockdown and evacuation ended around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Students and staff were allowed back inside, according to school officials.
