A local concert does more than entertain…it also raised thousands for a good cause.
Friday’s Country Concert for St. Jude was free to the public, but the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department and Lake City Media were teaming up to collect money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
At the hospital, no children are turned away for being unable to pay. They also do research to advance cures and prevention for diseases that affect children, according to the St. Jude website.
The numbers are in for Friday’s concert collection total. Lake City Media says $3,934.69 was raised for St. Jude kids.
