Talks of a new county attorney were discussed at Tuesday’s Kosciusko County commissioners meeting.
Chad Miner, the current attorney, is running for Superior Court III judge. If he is successful in his bid, then his spot will become vacant as the attorney. Miner suggested to the commissioners that Edward Ormsby be appointed to that position.
The commissioners voted unanimously, 3-0, to bring in Ormsby for the position.
Ormsby has been in the area since 2006, has a BS in finance and a law degree from Georgetown, and his practice works with “closely held businesses, both from a corporate real estate and litigation matter.” He is also currently a trustee on the Tippecanoe-Chapman Regional Sewer District.
