County Councilman Mike Long dies in an incident on his property Thursday

WARSAW — Mike Long, a member of Kosciusko County Council and a longtime farmer, died on his property Thursday.

Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer on Friday morning confirmed Long’s death “due to an incident” on his property, but declined to provide any more information.

Tyler was called to the property at about 5:03 p.m.

The property where Long died is at 375 N 950 West, which is about three miles south of Etna Green.

No other details were immediately available.

Huffer said more information on the circumstances will be released by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

Long served on County Council for several years and recently served as council president.
