The Creighton Bros. organization in Atwood has committed a $5 million gift to the Department of Animal Sciences at Purdue University. The funding could be used for research, teaching and programs to support departmental efforts and/or better serve Indiana's livestock industry. During the upcoming legislative session Purdue will seek funding for a new animal sciences building. If the state approves of and invests in a new facility, then the gift could go toward that cost.
