A Cromwell resident died in a traffic accident in Ligonier Monday morning. Alfred M. Crook, 75, Cromwell, was involved in a two-vehicle accident at 10:37 a.m. The accident was at Ind. 33 and Ind. 5. The other driver, Georgia A. Krieger, 49, Barron, Wis., was not injured.
Crook, in a 1990 Dodge Dakota, was hit by Krieger’s vehicle. According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department report, officers found the two vehicles had crashed directly in the intersection. The accident is still under investigation. NCSD was assisted by Ligonier fire departments, EMS, state highway and county highway departments, Indiana State Police, Ligonier and Cromwell police departments.
