A Cromwell man has drowned in the Mississippi River in Iowa. According to the Muscatine County Sheriffs, officers responded to a call about a water emergency at a recreation area on Sunday afternoon. On arrival, authorities recovered the body of 58-year-old Ramon Duque of Cromwell. According to officials, Duque had gone swimming a short distance from a dock when he suddenly went underwater and never resurfaced. Police say he was not wearing a life jacket. An investigation is ongoing.
